A University Postgraduate Diploma and Membership of the Register of Qualified Interpreters after just one year of part-time study

Since September 2001, SLI has offered a one-year, part-time postgraduate diploma course leading to membership of the Register of Interpreters.  This one-year version of the proven UCLAN/SLI Postgraduate Diploma is only open to applicants who have already successfully completed either the NVQ Level 4 British Sign Language Units, the Leeds University/SLI Postgraduate Certificate in Interpreting: BSL/English or Bristol/Wolverhampton University BSL equivalent.  For those who have successfully completed the NVQ level 3 (or the CACDP Stage 3), the University offers the two-year version of the course in Preston.
